Our editorial method
How Protein Is Healthy researches, checks, corrects and removes its field notes, and how we use AI.
Names
Who is accountable
Protein Is Healthy publishes every field note and is accountable for it.
We name a person only for work they did. “By” means they wrote the note. “Reviewed” means they read that version and approved it, signed in as themselves. “Field notes” means the note quotes their own first-hand notes. Everyone named agreed to be named.
A note with no writer named is credited to Protein Is Healthy.
Facts
Where facts come from
When a note relies on sources, we list them with links to the pages they came from.
Links in a note point only to secure web pages or to this collection.
Checking
What we check
Every note passes our publishing checks before it appears, and again whenever someone opens it. A note that fails them is taken out of view.
The checks stop product promotion, sponsored or affiliate content, and stock phrases common in machine-written text.
We carry no advertising and give no financial or legal advice.
Our notes give general health information, not personal medical advice: read our medical disclaimer.
Review
How health notes are reviewed
A qualified reviewer approves each note before it is published. The approval covers that one version, and any change needs a new approval before you see it.
We list our reviewers with their qualifications. We checked each qualification before the reviewer joined, and each reviewer agreed to be named.
Fixes
Fixing mistakes
When a note is wrong, we correct it, and a reviewer approves the corrected version before it replaces the old one. You see the change as soon as it is approved.
The corrected note then shows the day of its new review and, when its text changed, the day it was updated.

Take-downs
Taking notes down
We can withdraw a note at any time. It then leaves the collection, its feed and its sitemap at once.
AI
How we use AI
We do not run an automated system that writes or publishes field notes.
We publish no images made with AI.
Images our editors add themselves are made by people, not by AI. Each one's caption credits the contributor who made it, or us.
